How do i use Veet hair remover gel cream (in the pump bottle)

well, i dont see the directions on the bottle

and also, does it burn your skin???How do i use Veet hair remover gel cream (in the pump bottle)
I had it before, but now I just use a razor, anyways..

You put a layer on your legs/arms, where ever your removing hair at, and you let it sit for about 10 minutes, and then take a shower, and it comes off, but make sure you get it all off by scrubbing my legs/arms [again, what ever..] with soap and a sponge or scrubbie.

You may feel a burning sensation, but its not burning your skin, its removing hair..

and after you get out of the shower, remember to put baby oil or moisturizer on youir legs/arms/where ever.

good luck. How do i use Veet hair remover gel cream (in the pump bottle)
as long as you don't have sensitive skin it's fine. You don't feel it. Just spread it on, don't rub it in, enough to cover the hair not too thick, not too thin, and wait like five minutes and take it off with the little paddle thing that you get in it. I use it every week and it doesn't do anything to my skin.
don't do it i know someone who got a third degree burn from it

Which heat-protectant cream or gel should i use before straightening my hair using hair straighteners??

I use PPS Spray Straight with thermal shield

for my straightening

It works really well,

I don't know if you could get it though,

I would vote for more moisturizing type of eye cream. Guerlain Success Eye Tech (eye cream) is good. Also, Shiseido Revital Eye Masks are very nice. (Bad thing is: both of them are quite pricey!)

I haven't used this particular product, but I've used a few other Lancome skincare products before and am very pleased with them :)

EDIT: Forgot to mention, they were Lancome Pure Focus skin care products, so pretty close to what you're asking, I've used a scrub and a lotion :) My skin is acne prone as well, and Lancome does help if you use it regularly (like every day), makes your skin much softer.

Is there a difference between styling CREAM, and styling GEL?

Because I have this magazine, and it has a hairstyle I'm wanting to try out. It says I need styling cream, yet all I have is styling gel...it's a Posh-hairstyle, btw if that helps. Also where can I buy styling cream, and how much does it cost, if there isn't a difference? Is there a difference between styling CREAM, and styling GEL?
gel is more sticky while cream is more moisturizing. try getting a gel-cream combo. i use Sunsilk Waves of Envy and i love it.Is there a difference between styling CREAM, and styling GEL?
Garnier Fructis has a Cream-gel that i love :] its like $3. you could prolly get away with gel though as long as its not the type that leaves ur head hard! hope i hlpd :]

Body Exfoliating: puff vs. exfoliating gel/cream wash?

I'm sure using a puff in the shower to lather does give some degree of exfoliation for the skin. But I'm wondering if it's really necessary to use an actual shower gel specifically for body exfoliating (maybe one that has the pumice or beads) to get even better results. Don't the beads serve the same purpose as a textured puff; buffing away dead skin cells? And just for the sake of asking, what are some good body exfoliating cleansers for dry, sensitive skin?Body Exfoliating: puff vs. exfoliating gel/cream wash?
A puff does exfoliate. But I use good old baking soda. Nothing makes your skin smoother. I use it with my regular facial cleanser %26amp; my face feels smoother than when I use a scrub. I haven't found anything that beats it yet. I also use it to strip my hair of build-up every couple of weeks. Good luck. 2DBody Exfoliating: puff vs. exfoliating gel/cream wash?
Body Scrubs are excellent exfoliators. I use handmade soap in a wash bag (which is similiar to the bath puff), then I use a body scrub. They are definetly two different ways to exfoliate, your skin will absord lotion, moisturized better with a good body scrub.

    http://www.maryam-soap-nook.com/saltglow鈥?/a>
I also love a good natural lufa for the shower with a good hydrating shower gel - or natural oil (no baby oil)

try a sea salt scrub I love it so much - it does help me a lot with dry skin - and locks in moisture (If you shave with it your legs will be the smoothest ever) I love Awaken by Arbonne -

however - you can make your own if you find it pricey - with olive oil, kosher salt and a hint of lemon juice - (real is best)

Be cautious not to use any products with mineral oils to them.
How did it get so lucky to come across this question. just visit www.arbonne.com and the products will blow you away! there are all kinds of great facial and body cleansers. one aimed for sensitive skin is the intelligence kit. email me with any questions. ninalynnstewart@yahoo.com if you are really interested in any products and how to get discounted products contact me! :)
Puffs provide the lowest level of exfoliation and are good for everyday use, but you should consider adding a salt or sugar scrub into your routine once or twice a week, which I would apply by hand or washcloth. They really get the dead skin off, and if you choose one with an oil base, they are extremely moisturizing as well. Always follow up with lotion.
Puff's do not exfoliate all that well alone. Mix Epsom salt with a body oil/olive oil and scrub onto dry skin prior to taking a shower. Shower, then wash with your puff. Make sure you use a good moisturizer immediately after you exit the shower while the skin is still damp..
Well, as far as body exfoliators, I do my own thing. I buy Dove's new Cream-oil body wash (leaves your skin super soft/silky and smells great) and mix it w/some epsom salt. I then exfoliate my body w/it......it works great! My skin feels super soft.

Yeah there is a product that is in a square green bottle you can get at the grocery store or at Ulta but I forgot the name of it. Sorry and Best of Luck.

Oh yeah Prenatal vitamins work as well. You can get those at your local drugstore.
Sorry, but there's no magic formula for hair to grow really fast.

Sure, you can take prenatal vitamins and eat lots of protein for healthy growth, but hair growth requires patience. It grows about 1/2 inch a month.

    The best thing you can do right now is not to stress over it so much. Have a bit of fun with experimenting with different styles for it until it grows out. And it might also help to avoid mirrors as much as you can so you're not reminded of your ';haircut regret.';

Good luck! It's gonna be OK!

I need suggestions for the best holding hair gel, hair spray, and hair cream?

I have very very curly hair. And i like to use garnier frutis, pantene pro v, sunsilk, frizz ease, and herbal essenceI need suggestions for the best holding hair gel, hair spray, and hair cream?
I had the same hair as you for 24 years. (recently got it Japanese straightened and love it; I actually like curls a lot but what I had was a kinky, frizzy mess instead of beautiful bouncing curls, otherwise I would never straighten it.)

Anyway, I have used so many product there is, including everything you mentioned and nothing seemed to tame it... but the best thing I found for my hair was TIGI (Bed Head company) Curls Rock Moistureizer; it makes your hair so easy to manage and smells nice with a little hold. You will have to use a gel with this to get it to hold properly. It's a little on the expensive side, like 13-15 dollas but worth it. Biosilk works almost as well but be careful not to use when very wet or combine with lots of other stuff, as it will cause flaking; So these are my cream suggestions...

As for gel, I tend to dislike the very strong ones like Garnier, so I used a light one like Treseme's bouncy curls or cleam gel. to tell you the truth, the hold on light gels is not great at all but the strong ones cause flakes and feel like glue, at least in my hair, so if you can get one in the middle, that would probably work. i was still searching for that when I straightened my hair, but some cheap gels that work decently are LA looks (they have different levels of hold, most are strong but not too intense) or clear ice (probably in the ethnic aisle, only costs like 1.99, my hairdresser used it to make banana curls once and it came out great! As a plain gel, its not bad either, just check the ingredients to make sure it does not contain petroleum. Recently, I came across a new product that I almost wished i had curly hair again for, so i could try it, its called Mixed Chicks and is specially formulated for bi racial or just alternative curly hair. I have heard good things about it but again dont have the curls anymore so I cant see if it lives up to its reviews...

A great website for curly hair that i used to use is : naturallycurly.com It has tons of product reviews, stories, pic, salons, etc...

Hope that helps.I need suggestions for the best holding hair gel, hair spray, and hair cream?
I use Zero Frizz instead of frizz ease...I just like it better on my naturally curly hair. There are certain hair products like Pantene that leave a residue on your hair, so I don't suggest these. I use a good moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. I'm currently using Aussie Moist, and it seems to be doing a good job. I also use Biolage products.

The fewer products you use at one time, the better. They'll just build up on your hair and make it flat.

Those are just my experiences though.

    Good luck
Do you have short hair or longer hair? Do you want it to stay in one spot or to just retain its overall shape? I have short hiar, and have had just as good of luck with stuff like Garnier Surf Cream (in the little round tub) and Got-2-B paste from regular dept. stores like Target and Wal-Mart, but there's some stuff called Hair Glue that works pretty well, too.
every ones hair is different. what will work for one person, might not work for someone else. so just try different products, and see what you like.
A gel I like a lot when working with curl is La Bella's Curl Control Gel it's an 8 on a scale of 10 the gel itself is bright pink but even when I had blonde highlights I didnt notice the color being an issue.
got2be glued. its wicked strong hairspray.

What is the difference between topical lidocaine 1%cream or gel and topical dibucaine 1% ointment?

They are just two different topical anesthetics. They are both amides. Dibucaine is a carboxamide and Lidocaine is an acetamide. They function in very similar ways but just have structural differences from a molecular standpoint.

Since all patients respond differently to different drugs, it may be that one would be slightly more effective than the other fo any given patient, or they may both be of equal efficacy. It is just dependent on the patient.

you can get a flat iron product (i use a spray) at a salon. Is there a gel/ cream that you can put on before flat ironing and it will protect your hair from damage?
the one that i use is from the body shop. and it's by all of the hair products. it's made out of macadamian nuts and smells just like heaven when you put it in your hair and doesen't damage it at all.
In my experience the best thing to do is by a good shampoo and conditioner. You know the ones that protect heat damage because most of the time putting something on your hair before straight ironing it, it burns the stuff then irons your hair and causes more heat damage in the end.
yes they're called thermal protectants, u can one from any brand

ever see ';Something About Marry'; ?
Go to the nearest reputable, up-scale salon and speak to a stylist (not the receptionist) and ask for a thermal protectant. Explain to the stylist that you flat-iron and need a good product to protect you hair. You absolutely need to also be using a leave-in conditioner (in addition to the rinse out kind) to protect you hair even further, so get that while your at the salon too.

im sure it can, it can clog pores. To reduce cutting yourself and getting razor burn, make sure to rinse off the blade every few seconds. Go very slow and go ';down'; not up.
no it won't cause any breakouts. to reduce the chances of getting cut just make sure your razor is sharp duller the more likely you'll get cut.

Can anyone share what is the best way to extract herbs for homemade cream/lotion/gel base.?

    Hi,

I currently have some gotu-kola (fresh plant) + some dried fo-ti (he shou wu) bark, and I like to extract these herbs to make my own homemade cream/lotion/gel base.

What types of solvents should I use?

Normally it's the alcoholic + water solvents, but I prefer not to use alcohol.

I was thinking to just use plain water as solvent by boiling the fo-ti bark + gotu-kola...but how do I preserve them as boiliing usually means using them up in 24hrs or 48hrs at best (if kept referigerated)...and how do I incorporate them into my cream/gel?

Any input will be much appreciated. Thanks!!Can anyone share what is the best way to extract herbs for homemade cream/lotion/gel base.?
A good preservative is Witch Hazel, it has some alcohol in it, and you can boil your herbs in that easily as you can in water.

The biggest problem faced in making herbal products at home is shelf life. They do have to be made more often as they tend to spoil after a certain amount of time, but the quality of the product and the knowledge you are using only the best ingredients far outweighs the small inconvenience. The trick is to make them in small quantities, or just enough to last until you know you will need to replace them. Another simple point to remember is -

    DO NOT USE YOUR FINGERS!

Without the harsh chemical preservatives, you can easily introduce bacteria. Use a small spatula or plastic knife or similar sterile utensil to lift out a small amount at a time when using the product.

By themselves, oils and waxes will remain stable. It is the introduction of the herbal infusion, or aloe gel, or unsterilized water that presents the problem of mold and bacteria. It is also possible to make or purchase extracts of the herbs you wish to include and use those in your products, rather than an infusion.

ALWAYS BOIL THE WATER or WITCH HAZEL AND STERILIZE YOUR CONTAINERS (since boiling water will destroy/melt some plastic containers, use alcohol to sterilize these). There are two natural preservatives which can stabilize your product. Tincture of Benzoin is available through your local pharmacy and has been used for a long time commercially. Gum benzoin, from which the tincture is made, is a gum resin from Asia. It is applied at the rate of 1 drop per ouce of product. Becoming more popular each year is grapefruit seed extract, available through herb supply outlets, and is applied at the same rate. Also known for its preservative qualities is vitamin E. It won't take the place of the benzoin tincture or grapefruit seed extract, but 200 to 400 I.U. per ounce of product will not only help out with longevity, it's also good for the skin.

When adding aloe to your product, be aware fresh aloe gel from a houseplant will develop mold quickly. It is better to purchase food grade aloe gel which has already been stabilized.

When a recipe calls for glycerin - it always means vegetable glycerin. At no time should you use any other type. It is always to be food grade vegetable glycerin.

Oils commonly used in cosmetic preparations are sweet almond, olive, safflower, peanut, corn, wheat germ, jojoba, and small amounts of vitamin E oil. Vitamin E can be purchased in gel caps which can then be pierced and the contents squeezed out. In the following recipes the ingredient lecithin refers to liquid lecithin. All lanolin used is anhydrous lanolin. Lanolin comes in liquid and anhydrous (water removed) forms.

One other ingredient you will require is beeswax. It melts at 148潞F, but the process goes more quickly if you first grate it. A hand held rotary grater with the large holes for grating makes short work of this.

Other tools which you will need are a blender, or mini food processor, or similar item which is capable of making mayonnaise, since the process of combining oils and water is similar. My personal favorite is a Black and Decker Handi-Mixer with a drink attachment. It's a lightweight hand-held unit that does the job well and with little to clean up afterward. You will also need a stainless steel or enamel double boiler. It is absolutely essential to melt the waxes and oils in the top portion of the double boiler over hot water in the bottom pan.

To incorporate them simply add the infused water-with hazel-oil or other into your lotion/gal/cream base. You want to add enough to get the herbs into the product, but you also want to be sure the product keeps the desired consistency. Can anyone share what is the best way to extract herbs for homemade cream/lotion/gel base.?

    Thanks for the help too.

You can just use aloe vera alone since aloe vera contains vitamin E. It also contains A, B1, B2, B6 and B12.

Although acne cannot be cured by aloe vera based products, symptoms such as flaky skin, redness and swelling will reduce with constant use. If it gets oily like mine then st ives is good cause it dries it since there is some kind of acid ingredient in there. Aloe does kind of shrink the skin reduces the redness and swelling.

Whats the difference between differin cream and gel?

    i was prescribed the cream...

    my cousin was prescribed gel...

a bunch of other people were prescribed gel as well.

    im just curious..

thanksWhats the difference between differin cream and gel?
The gel is water based and better for very oily skin. The cream is more moisturizing for more delicate or dry skin.

Does anyone here know of an effective breast enhancer pill (or cream or gel)?

I have these really curvy hips and long legs but with a flat chest! I don't think I want to go for surgery but I'm desperate. Help!Does anyone here know of an effective breast enhancer pill (or cream or gel)?
No cream or gel can work. In fact, it may just irritate your skin. The only things to do would be to have surgery or use a padded bra.Does anyone here know of an effective breast enhancer pill (or cream or gel)?
    There are none.

    Duh.

No, what those creams do is temporarily dehydrate the area causing the skin to firm up and lessening the appearance.

I just bought sunsilk gel & cream twist and nothing will come out.?

I feel retarded. I'm trying to pump it into my hand and nothing is coming out of the tube. am i doing something wrong? lolI just bought sunsilk gel %26amp; cream twist and nothing will come out.?
just take it back and your not stupid.. ive had it happen to me before and it sucks! hahahh I just bought sunsilk gel %26amp; cream twist and nothing will come out.?
With it being new you have to pump it for a while to get all the air out, then the cream will start coming out. If that don't work the pump it self may be broke, you could take it back to the store.
you should return it and exchange it

Is there a type of gel or cream that can replace shaving with a razor?

My pediatrician said that I didn't have to shave with a razor (b'c I've heard it hurts) and that I could use a type of cream or gel that removes the hair for me. Could you give me a website or an answer leading to this question? Thanks!

(Btw, I would like for you to include a cost, if possible! Thanks!)Is there a type of gel or cream that can replace shaving with a razor?
shaving doesnt hurt, but you can use nair or veet hair removal creams and their usually pretty cheap, like 5-8 bucks for bottle. and you can get them at drug stores or basically any store that sells skin products. and if you have sensitive skin, you can go to a health store near you and they have the hair removal creams too.

    hope i helped.

I use PPS Spray Straight with thermal shield

    for my straightening

    It works really well,

    It's an Aussie brand

How do i use Veet hair remover gel cream (in the pump bottle)

well, i dont see the directions on the bottle

and also, does it burn your skin???How do i use Veet hair remover gel cream (in the pump bottle)
as long as you don't have sensitive skin it's fine. You don't feel it. Just spread it on, don't rub it in, enough to cover the hair not too thick, not too thin, and wait like five minutes and take it off with the little paddle thing that you get in it. I use it every week and it doesn't do anything to my skin. How do i use Veet hair remover gel cream (in the pump bottle)
don't do it i know someone who got a third degree burn from it
I had it before, but now I just use a razor, anyways..

You put a layer on your legs/arms, where ever your removing hair at, and you let it sit for about 10 minutes, and then take a shower, and it comes off, but make sure you get it all off by scrubbing my legs/arms [again, what ever..] with soap and a sponge or scrubbie.

You may feel a burning sensation, but its not burning your skin, its removing hair..

and after you get out of the shower, remember to put baby oil or moisturizer on youir legs/arms/where ever.

    good luck.

I would vote for more moisturizing type of eye cream. Guerlain Success Eye Tech (eye cream) is good. Also, Shiseido Revital Eye Masks are very nice. (Bad thing is: both of them are quite pricey!)

I started using scarzone under my eyes after an accident. It's an spf scar cream with green tea in it. After a while I noticed that my eyes were much perkier.

If you don't want to try that, then maybe something with green tea in it or at least something that will protect that part of your face from the sun.

Is there an eye cream or gel available that gets rid of puffy eyes?

All about Eyes by Clinique works great. There is cucumber extract and caffeine which helps get rid of some of the water retention up there. Is there an eye cream or gel available that gets rid of puffy eyes?
preperation H girl it works i promis and it also works on baggs under ur eyes tooIs there an eye cream or gel available that gets rid of puffy eyes?
clinque all about eyes, really smooth and soft

but it doesnt reduce dark circles
Mary Kay has a good cream for puffy eyes. I like it, I forget what it is called.
I use Peter Thomas Roth cucumber mask, which can also be used to treat puffy eyes. It works wonders, and it a good prep for my eye makeup. :)
Try using a Hemerroid (i dunno if i spelled that correctly) cream around the eye.. it helps
yes the new gania eye cream is good for baggy eyes
St. Ives has this cucumber melon eye gel. It works well enough. I like the smell.
Mary Kay makes a really good cooling gel that works well. Something else you might consider is using spoons. Yes, metal spoons. Put two of them in the freezer until they are nice and cold. You use them by pressing the rounded side of the spoon against your eye.
Try: Color me eye lift gel

    Only $20.00
Not really. You'll want to get some sort of cosmetic product that conceals the dark circles and puffiness around your eyes.

From the July / August 2005 issue of Cargo magazine:

L'Occitane Magic Eye Balm can help disguise darkness in two ways: Hydrating shea butter plumps the skin a bit, so the vessels underneath don't show through as much, and tiny metallic particles in the cream reflect light to make the area under your eyes look brighter.

$20, you may be able to find something cheaper, but this sounds like the magic bullet.

My girlfriend uses Maybelline instant age rewind concealer, it may be a bit less expensive. Take your pick.

I would not suggest hemorrhoidal cream, it is not meant for that use.
Models use Preparation H for undereye bags. It is safe and not just for hemorrhoids. I'm not sure if that's what you mean by puffy eyes or not.
