What is the difference between mederma gel and cream?

I know the cream has SPF in it but do they both work the same. There is a $7 price difference in the two. The cream is cheaper. Does the cream actually improve the appearance of scars or is it just a sunscreen. What is the difference between mederma gel and cream?
Hi! My name is Susan and I work with the product. Yes, they both work the same and have the same key ingredients. The main difference is that Mederma Cream + SPF 30 has a cream formulation with the added benefit of SPF 30 to help keep scars from becoming discolored or darkened by the sun's harmful rays. Both of these products can help reduce the appearance of scars. Please, use as directed - apply 3-4 times a day for 8 weeks on new scars and 3-6 months on existing scars. The cream does improve the appearance of scars but it also contains the SPF 30 because the sun can cause discoloration of your scars as well. If your scar is not exposed to the sun, you can use the regular gel for the same results. If you need the cream, there is a $3 off coupon to download on their website.
