Who has used benzoyl peroxide gel/cream for their spots?

Did it help clear up and get rid of your spots?

I have read that you can get it at boots over the counter. Do you just ask for benzoyl peroxide gel? How much did it cost you to buy the gel/cream?

Or did you go to your doctors and ask them to prescibe it to you?

It would be very appreciated to those who give their advice and comments.Who has used benzoyl peroxide gel/cream for their spots?
i went to the doctors and they prescribed it.

it helps, i have combination skin though so it really dries my skin out. i went on the pill a month ago and that's really helped as well.

i have mild acne by the way, not really bad acne.

hope i helped :)Who has used benzoyl peroxide gel/cream for their spots?
OMFG OMFG OMFG don't you DARE even touch the stuff! the doctors always give you the $hit first so you can go back so different stuff (thats how doctors get money) well when you put that cr@p on your face the next day it will turn red and will peel ... trust me its NOT GOOD, normally the 2nd - 3rd stuff is ok from what the doctors give you if you want your spots to go i highly recommend you get Dalacin Topical Lotion (aka Dalacin T) its soo much better and its a roll on - which means no washing face...
I have used it and it works to clear acne and small pimples/spots. It was the only that worked. Before using it, I had this spot of tiny pimples that would not go away!

I use Spectro AcneCare and it costs about $5-6 for a small bottle which last quite a long time. It's the same ingredient than in Proactiv which costs a lot more.
Ive used it before and it really dried my skin out. It did help a bit but i don't recommend using it if your skin is dry already.

If you really want to use it then i suggest getting it from your doctors. Over the counter ones didn't seem to work for me.
I bought benzoyl peroxide from expresschemist.com and did work a little. The best thing to do is go to the doctors, I got prescribed Erythromycin ( e-rith-rom-eye-sin) and it cleared up my skin within a few weeks.... beautifully!!
The GP prescribed 'Dalacin T' it is very good, clears Acne with 3 months. It's POM medication.
oh no no no don't do that it will dry out skin make it red and it will peel, get some different stuff especially if you have sensitive skin and bad acne
Check http://www.acne.org for reviews, it worked for some people but not for others apparently
