What is the difference between shaving cream and gel?

There is actually quite a big difference between gels (which turn into foam) and creams, namely air.

Foam is full of air, which is NOT a lubricant. It looks pretty but it DOES NOT protect your skin as well as creams.

Most shave “creams” and “gels” are actually foam–which is primarily air. Visualize a sharp blade scraping across your delicate skin with air as the main lubricant. It tears your skin, creates little cuts and nicks that bleed, and leaves your skin looking and feeling rough.

I would recommend Cremo Cream, my favorite shaving cream:

Cremo Cream has no air and no trace ingredients: it’s a rich cream made only from significant, noticeably beneficial ingredients. It contains very unique, super-lubricating, highly-slippery molecules that have been specially compounded with other truly powerful skin conditioners. Together, they make your blade glide smoothly over your skin like an ice skate; they make your hairs stick out and stand up straight so your blade cuts them more deeply; and they nourish and moisturize your skin. Your skin will look and feel astonishingly soft and smooth. Your shave will last longer. Better than anything else you have ever used.

Nancy Boy is good too, but more expensive. What is the difference between shaving cream and gel?
Shaving gel has more lubricants than foam, so it generally works better in terms of protecting your skin and giving you a closer shave. Don't worry -- shaving gel lathers up as you rub it on, so it ends up looking and working just like shaving cream. What is the difference between shaving cream and gel?
gel has less stuff like perfum
